Why I Created Bentomio for My Son and Yours
Hello, Bentomio mums! I’m Karla, and I’m so excited to share the heart behind Bentomio our family’s way of turning everyday meals into moments of care. Inspired by my husband’s love for cooking and my son’s school journey, Bentomio was born from a mum’s desire to make nutrition safe, creative, and joyful. Every product reflects the values we hold close: balanced meals, thoughtful design, and the kind of mealtime magic that makes kids feel loved.
How Bentomio Began
The idea for Bentomio came to life when my little one started school. Like many parents, I wanted to make sure he enjoyed healthy meals, even when I wasn’t there. But I didn’t want to pack just any lunch; I wanted it to be something he’d be excited to open. I started creating adorable, balanced bento boxes that combined nutrition with fun, making every meal a mini celebration.
My husband, with his culinary expertise, played a huge role in this journey. Together, we dreamed up ideas that made every lunchbox not just nutritious, but truly delightful. That’s how Bentomio was born a brand that cares as much about taste as it does about health.
As a mum, I know that packing lunch isn’t just a task it’s a daily act of love. Every meal we send off is a little reminder that we’re thinking of them, cheering them on, and nourishing them with care.
As a mum who deeply values safe, nourishing meals for children, I took a Child Nutrition and Cooking course authorized by Stanford University to strengthen my understanding of what growing bodies truly need. This experience shaped the way I create meals making them not only balanced and wholesome, but also joyful and engaging. I believe that when food is presented with love and creativity, children are more likely to enjoy it. That’s why every Bentomio lunch box is designed with care so mums can pack nutrition, safety, and a little magic into every bite.
Inspired by Japanese Bento Culture
Inspired by the art of Japanese bento, Bentomio was born from a deep love for child-friendly nutrition and thoughtful presentation. In Japan, simple ingredients are transformed into beautiful, balanced meals that delight both the eyes and the heart. As a mum in the UAE who cares deeply about safe, nourishing food, I wanted to bring that same philosophy to our families where every lunch box is a celebration of care, creativity, and wellbeing.
